Thank you for inquiring about our office. We want to help make this process as easy and wonderful as it can be.
We realize that, for many people, chiropractic is new and relatively misunderstood. If you still have any questions or concerns about chiropractic care for yourself or your child, we would be happy to schedule a 15 minute free consultation to answer all of your questions. At the conclusion of the consultation we should know if chiropractic care is something you want to pursue and can schedule your initial examination time.
For those of you that are ready to set up your examination, this is what you can expect of that visit. If you are coming to the office for the first time, for chiropractic care, your first visit will last approximately an hour. We will review your health history, perform a personalized, complete evaluation including a computerized neurological analysis and, if appropriate, perform any necessary x-rays. We will discuss with you how we can help you achieve your health goals and explain to you how chiropractic care can help you.
How to Get Started
Please call 360-848-6755 or fill out the contact form on this page to make your new patient appointment. Please note that for the fastest response, we recommend calling our office during office hours.
Pre-Appointment Preparation:
Please bring any recent X-rays, MRIs, or CAT Scans that are related to any spinal problems you may be suffering from. Please arrive to the exam 15 minutes early so that any extra paperwork can be filled out.
New Patient Appointment
#1 Patient Forms:
Upon entering our office, we will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information. Feel free to fill out the patient forms ahead of time, the links to these forms are included below. *Please print out completed forms and do not “submit” them at this time.
Depending on the reason for consulting our office we may have additional forms for you to fill out when you arrive at our office.
#2 Health History:
Next, you will have a discussion with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctors to learn more about you, your health condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
#3 Examination:
After your consultation, the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your spinal and neurological health. Computerized testing of the integrity of your spine and nervous system will be performed. Depending on your specific situation, age and injury; postural, range of motion, and other physical tests may be performed. We will always explain any tests or procedures to you thoroughly. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
#4 X-Ray Studies:
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays. X-rays can help us develop the most effective care plan for you and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. We do not automatically X-ray every patient and of course any contraindications to x-rays, such as pregnancy, will exclude you from any x-ray evaluation.
Follow Up Appointment
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, you will be scheduled for a follow-up visit, usually within 24-72 hours or as your schedule allows. During this follow-up visit, the doctor will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
How can you help me?
How often do I need to come in?
What will my care cost?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, the doctor will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. The doctor will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs. This report generally takes 30 minutes.
#1 Care Begins:
At the conclusion of this second visit, you can choose to experience your first spinal adjustments. Care is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of chiropractic care anytime and no care will be administered without your consent.
#2 Wellness Program:
Prior to leaving, the doctor may suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office, this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire, we will also work with you to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal function, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
