Vital Chiropractic, PLLC and Wellness Center has been focusing on delivering quality chiropractic care for pregnancy, pediatrics, athletics, injury rehabilitation and ongoing wellness in the Skagit Valley since 2000. The office consists of two Doctors of Chiropractic and support staff. We have a beautiful, warm, office that is kid and family-friendly, yet still up to date with the latest technology and evaluation techniques.
We are a group of passionate people here to serve those in pursuit of improved health & performance. We strive to provide personalized care for our patients and their families. We know you have individual needs and health situations so we look closely at you as a person and get to know you and your health challenges. Our Doctors
Cheryl Schmitt, D.C., CACCP
Dr. Cheryl L. Schmitt started her chiropractic education as a child when she received her first chiropractic adjustment at the age of four. She has continued to receive chiropractic care as her primary source of care for over the last 40 years.Dr. Cheryl graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2000. In 2003, Dr. Cheryl earned her Pediatric Certificate of Proficiency and became Webster Technique Certified. She has focused a large portion of her practice on working with pregnant women, children and families although she sees patients of all ages.Dr. Cheryl is an outspoken advocate for natural, drug-free birth and life, and lectures to empower women on their birth choices. She also lectures on causes of birth trauma and chiropractic’s role in restoring and maintaining a healthier life for both mother and child.Dr. Cheryl also enjoys being active with her children and her active husband. She likes to camp, hike and loves horses. Robert Schmitt, D.C.
Dr. Robert graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2000.
He concentrated on athletics for many of his high school and collegiate years. He pole vaulted in college, broke his back, and was introduced to chiropractic care! His experience drove him to become a chiropractor. He also water skied professionally as a knee-boarder on the Bud Water Ski Tour. He gives credit to good chiropractic care for giving him the competitive edge plus keeping him injury and surgery free!
Dr. Robert currently spends his free time with his three boys, water skiing and coaching pole-vaulting at the local high schools. He has been coaching at Burlington-Edison and Mount Vernon Christian high schools for over 20 years and enjoys helping the kids. And, thanks to chiropractic, he still occasionall pole vaults every spring and summer!
Dr. Robert enjoys taking care of families and all those who are pursuing a healthier life. He particularly loves those complicated cases and helping athletes, of all levels, reach peak performance through chiropractic care.
In fall 2011, Dr. Robert Schmitt was appointed by Governor Christine Gregoire to the Washington State Chiropractic Quality Assurance Commission and served that Commission for over 8 years.
Dr. Robert Schmitt’s areas of focus are:
* Sports related chiropractic care for injury treatment and optimization of sports performance through a properly functioning nervous system.
* Auto and work injury chiropractic care to regain optimal function.
* Family wellness chiropractic care.
Jasmyne Martinez
Jasmyne has been with us since the fall of 2010. She no longer spends much time in the office during our regular office hours but she is an integral part of our office flow and patient education. Jasmyne helps out with our insurance billing and is our marketing specialist. She is frequently at gatherings, talks and community outreach programs with Vital Chiropractic. She also helps to schedule and organize talks and programs for clubs and organizations that are interested in learning from our doctors on various healthcare topics.
Courtney Holcomb
Courtney has been with our organization since 2018. She is a busy, homeschooling, mom of 4. Courtney helps out at the office with afternoon reception work and assistance. She can be found at the front desk as well as behind the scenes following up on appointments and insurance requests. She is also a local photographer. 
Stephanie Alaniz
Stephanie joined us in August of 2021. Stephanie is mom of one and sister to Becky (above). She is our go to woman for all the little extra's we need done at the office. She keeps us organized and helps out with billing and filling in at the front desk. Stephanie works with us part time and also works as an activity coordinator for Children of the Valley. She loves helping kids and families live a full, happy, life.
